Ice Crystals

I saw that the metal roof of my car was coated in a sparkling sheet of frost that had accumulated during the night. I had my camera with me and, by using a simple hack, I captured the crystals that make up frost during a cold morning.

If you look close enough you can see the shape of the crystals formed by the molecular structures of water

Want to get a great macro shot from your average 18/55mm lens? Turn it around so the end of the lens is facing the sensor. (Make sure you have enabled the setting that lets you take photos without a lens attached and be careful not to let dust enter the sensor or the lens.)
